Modifying EVOs?? |
right...we've heard that all all evos from evo 3, 4 , 5 and 6 all using the same engine i.e 4g63 ie the same as vr4 as well. WHat this really means is that the engine block is the same, but the internal parts have been extremely modified in later evos. What happen if you have got evo 6....still wondering what to do with it? Check this out!!! |

In whatever car, no matter NA or turbocharged, or even supercharged, if you wanna extract more horsepower from th engine, the whole exhaust system has to be tweaked a bit. Nur Spec 'R' full system, 3" stainless steel pipes, with 4.5" rear pipe. Shown in this picture is the removable silencer insert. The full system gives about 12-15 BHP improvement over the standard system, and produces a nice sporty note, which isn't in any way intrusive whilst cruising down the motorway. |

check out the exhaust lay out for this evo 6. The layout of the EVO 5,6 exhaust runs a much strighter route than the standard exhaust which curves sharply between the downpipe and back box. This straighter route vastly reduces the back pressure, and thus reduces turbo lag, improves mid range torque and adds power at the top end. |

Then...air filter!! Shown on the left is the distinctive Blitz induction kit. The kit comes with all the parts necessary to fit neatly in place of the existing air box. The dump valve will also have a slightly louder sound after fitting this kit. The Blitz induction kit gives 10-12 BHP improvement. |

ECU, this is a crucial part as well. The Access ECU upgrade is a complete exhchange computer from BLITZ. It is totally remapped to allow more boost to be used, and reprofiles the ignition settings, and fuelling, raises the rev-limit, raises the boost limit and removes the speed limit. Shown on the right is the EVO4 Access Exchange ECU |

The Access ECU will allow the boost to be turned up, giving approximately 30-35BHP increase. Shown on the left is the EVO 5 Access ECU. |
