Act 5 : Kare no Yabu : His Ambition Finally, Miyazawa Yukino and Arima Souichirou are going out... but the school's sports festival hits and the pair suddenly find that they have no time to see eachother. They promise to date when the festival is over. After the busy week, things settle down a bit... but a new student has come to Hokuei Prefectural High. Asaba Hideaki is a mega-hunk, and when he and Arima are together, it makes a perfect picture. However, Asaba's dream is to establish "Asaba Merry-land," in which he will be surrounded by girls (his little sheep). To do so, he believes Arima (being so popular with the girls) would be a perfect partner. Therefore, Asaba attempts to drive Miyazawa away from Arima. The two of them constantly pick fights with eachother and quarrel nonstop. One afternoon though, Arima and Miyazawa agree to meet at the movie theater at one for a date. Yukino arrives, and waits for an hour, with no signs of Arima. Around two o'clock, Asaba happens to pass by. He teases her, telling her she has been stood up. However, she is hurt by this, and Asaba apologizes. A friendship develops between them thereafter. Act 6 : Boku wo Kaeru, Kimi no Koe : Your Voice Changed Me As Arima and Miyazawa date and continue to see eachother, Arima begins to have doubts about their relationship, as he realizes that he is still hiding his true feelings. He feels worthless compared to her buoyancy. However, one evening they remain at the school to wait out a thunderstorm and feelings overflowing, Arima and Miyazawa finally express some of what they feel for eachother. Embarrassed afterwards, they allow a funny situation to take away the awkwardness, and have ultimately grown closer to eachother. Act 7 : Futari no Sokaku : The Couples' Separation Miyazawa and Arima have been spending a lot of time dating and having fun, working on shedding their false facades of elegance. And when exam grades are posted, Miyazawa is mortified by thirteenth place (and angry with Arima for getting second). They are called down to the guidance office by their angry teachers, and lectured that they endanger their futures by spending too much time with eachother. Upset, Miyazawa talks back to them, and this results with their parents being called in. However, during the conference, both the Arimas and the Miyazawas tell their children's teachers that they have no dissatisfication with their son and daughter dating. They believe they shouldn't repress their children and all they have ever done was give them pride. Miyazawa and Arima promise to study more and improve their grades, and the teachers concede to their relationship. Act 8 : Sono Hi, Miyazawa Yukino Ha... : That Day, Miyazawa Yukino Was... On the make-up exam day, Miyazawa is invited over to Arima's house. After they boot Asaba off to school (he failed most of his exams), they are alone in the house. Rather awkwardly, they read for a while, though Miyazawa keeps breaking the silence with random comments. Arima asks her if she wants a little attention, and when she replies the affirmative, they roughhouse and tickle eachother for a while. When they have settled down, Miyazawa jokingly complains that she is the only one showing affection in their relationship, and perhaps Arima doesn't love her that much. Arima is upset by this, and Miyazawa fears she has made him angry. However, he tells her that is not the case, and that he hasn't expressed his feelings because he didn't want to frighten her. He asks her if she would like to see how he felt, and, blushing, she says yes... |
