Act 21 : 14 DAYS : 3
On Tsubaki's suggestion and her own whim, Aya whips out an excellent script for the play that had been suggested. Unfortunately for her, Miyazawa and Maho are intent on weasling their way out of performing, and Aya spends much of her time chasing the two all over the school, attempting to persuade them. Tonami and Miyazawa meet eachother, and are at first quarrelsome and bicker (much like Asaba and Miyazawa did when they first met). However, Tonami tells Miyazawa his story of how he trained to become the best for his revenge. Miyazawa can immediately relate to that, and a friendship is struck up between them. But Arima watches painfully, his fear of rejection haunting him. As Miyazawa and Tonami act very friendly toward eachother, he turns away. Asaba notices this, though nobody else does.

Act 22 : 14 DAYS : 4
Miyazawa finally agrees to play her part in the drama, and "persuades" Maho to do likewise. Looking for support in their endeavors, the group goes to see Kawashima-sensei. He gives them a recommendation and approval to enter their play in the Cultural Festival. As the girls and Asaba work on the play, Miyazawa and Arima grow farther apart. Arima feels this acutely, and he watches Miyazawa thinking, "I can't go on without her... but she can go on without me." Seeing her being familiar with Tonami also makes him upset, and Asaba notices this. He finds Arima sitting out on the roof reading, and Asaba asks if Arima is all right. They sit and just lean on eachother for a while.
