Act 17 : Kare no Kyorai : His Return It is August and Arima will return soon. Miyazawa has heard that over the summer, Arima has grown taller and has a different air about him. Nervous and self-conscious, Miyazawa awaits his arrival. Feeling insecure because she has not changed over the summer, she counts the days down. As she waits, she contemplates her relationship with Arima and realizes that she loves him now more than ever. His absence has made her keenly aware of her feelings for him. And then suddenly he returns. Because of her renewed feelings though, Miyazawa finds herself shy and awkward around him. She won't look into his eyes and is afraid to be touched by him. Although she knows his biggest fear is of rejection, she cannot bring herself to tell him her true feelings, and he takes her shyness as a bad sign. Finally he corners her and demands to know if he has done something wrong or upset her. She smiles and holds him and tells him she loves him even more than before. Act 18 : Shin Ka : Evolution Arima and Miyazawa reach a profound stage in their relationship. I think this is one episode best left unspoiled by a summary. ^_^ Act 19 : 14 DAYS : 1 The second semester of school has started, and things are as busy as ever in preparations for the Cultural Festival (Miyazawa and Arima dread a schedule similar to that of the sports festival). Determined to outdo class 1F and their "Asaba Hideaki Dinner Show," Miyazawa racks her brain to come up with something. Tsubaki suggests drama and performing a play, though Miyazawa and Maho do not find this flattering. However, there is a new student in the school named Tonami Takefumi. And apparently he has a beef with Sakura Tsubaki... a middle-school grudge that has been festering for three years. Tonami is tall and skilled at basketball as well as academics (proven by his tie with Miyazawa and Arima for the number one score on exams). Because he has changed so much since he left, none of his former classmates recognize him, and Aya is the only one insightful enough to imagine he might be back for revenge against Tsubaki... Act 20 : 14 DAYS : 2 In elementary and middle school, Tonami Takefumi was weak bodied and weak minded. Pampered and spoiled by his parents, he grew up in a sheltered and rich environment. However, at school, he was teased constantly, until he caught the attention of Sakura Tsubaki. She was a tyrant then, ultra-violent and very forceful. Taking on Tonami as her personal slave, she lorded her power over him for years. When he left to go to a different school, he asked her why she had stuck by him. After being told that she had been told to do so by a teacher, Tonami is hurt, and spends the next three years training vigorously for his revenge against Tsubaki. Now, having returned, he is everything he wasn't before: tall, strong, handsome, and intelligent. In junior high, Arima was in his class and when he discovered that Arima was at this high school now, he was ecstatic. Arima had been the only person who was kind to him, and when Arima was around, the other children didn't tease. However, he finds that Arima has changed quite a bit and has also acquired some odd new friends (Asaba and Miyazawa)... |
