The Second Comming
(Pre-Trib, Mid-Trib, Post-Trib Rapture?)
Jn 14:3	And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take
you to be with me that you also may be where I am.
Jn 14:18	I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you.
Jn 21:22	Jesus answered, "If I want him to remain alive until I return,
what is that to you? You must follow me."
2Co 1:14	as you have understood us in part, you will come to understand
fully that you can boast of us just as we will boast of you in the day
	of the Lord Jesus.
Php 1:6	being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will
carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.
Col 3:4	When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear
	with him in glory.
2Th 2:1-2	Concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our being
gathered to him, we ask you, brothers, not to become easily unsettled
or alarmed by some prophecy, report of letter supposed to have come from
us, saying that the day of the Lord has already come.
2Ti 4:8	Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the
Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day--and not only
to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing.
Tit 2:13	while we wait for the blessed hope--the gloriouos appearing of
our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ
Heb 10:25	Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing,
but let us encourage one another--and all the more as you see the Day approaching.

	Judgment at
1Th 5:2-3	for you know very well that the day of the Lord will come like
a thief in the night. While people are saying, "Peace and safety."
destruction will come on them suddenly, as labor pains on a pregnant
woman, and they will not escape.
James 5:9	Don't grumble against each other, brothers, or you will be
judged. The Judge is standing at the door!

	and "Last days"
1Ti 4:1	The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the
faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons.
2Ti 3:1	But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days.
1Jn 2:18	Dear children, this is the last hour; and as you have heard
that the antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have come.
This is how we know it is the last hour.

	Literary treatment of
Mt 3:12	His winnowing fork is in his hand, and he will clear his threshing
floor, gathering his wheat into the barn and burning up the chaff with
   unquenchable fire.

	Manner of
Mk 13:26-27	At that time men will see the Son of Man coming in clouds with
great power and glory. And he will send his angels and gather his elect
from the four winds, from the ends of the earth to the ends of the heavens.

	Outcome of
Isa 52:7	How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of those who bring
good news, who proclaim peace, who bring good tidings, who proclaim
salvation, who say to Zion, "Your God reighs!"
Ro 13:11	And do this, understanding the present time. The hour has come
for you to wake up from your slumber, because our salvation is nearer
now than when we first believed.
1Co 13:10	but when perfection comes, the imperfect disappears.
1Co 15:23-26	But each in his own turn: Christ, the firstfruits; then,
when he comes, those who belong to him. Then the end will come, when
he hands over the kingdom to God the Father after he as destroyed all
dominion, authority and power. For he must reign until he has put all
his enemies under his feet. The last enemy to be destroyed is death.
1Co 15:44-49	it is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body.
If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual body. So it is
written: "The first man Adam became a living being"; the last Adam,
a life-giving spirit. The spiritual did not come first, but the natural,
and after that the spiritual. The first man was of the dust of the earth,
the second man from heaven. As was the earthly man, so are those who are
of the earth; and as is the man from heaven, so also are those who are of
heaven. And just as we have borne the likeness of the earthly man, so
shall we bear the likeness of the man from heaven.
1Co 15:58	Therefore, my dear brothers, stand firm. Let nothing move you.
Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know
that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.
2Co 4:4	The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelivers, so that
they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ,
who is the image of God.
Php 1:6,10-11	being confident of this, that he who began a good work
in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus
...... so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be
pure and blameless until the day of Christ filled with the fruit
of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ--
to the glory and praise of God.
Rev 14:15	Then another angel came out of the temple and called in a
loud voice to him who was sitting on the cloud, "Take your sickle and
reap, because the time to reap has come, for the harvest of the earth
	is ripe."

	Participants
Lk 21:35	For it will come upon all those who live on the face of the whole earth.
1Th 4:15	According to the Lord's own word, we tell you that we who are
still alive, who are left till the coming of the Lord, will certainly
not precede those who have fallen asleep.
2Th 1:7	and give relief to you who are troubled, and to us as well.
This will happen when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven in
blazing fire with his powerful angels.

	Predictions of
Lk 21:27	At that time they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud
   with power and great glory.

	Signs of
Is 66:19-20	I will set a sign among them, and I will send some of those
who survive to the nations--to Tarshish, to the Libians and Lydians
(famous as archers), to Tubal and Greece, and to the distant islands
that have not heard of my fame or seen my glory. They will proclaim
my glory among the nations. And they will bring all your brothers,
from all the nations, to my holy mountain in Jerusalem as an offering
   to the Lord.
Mk 13:29	'No,' he answered, 'because while your are pulling the weeds,
you may root up the wheat with them.
Lk 18:8	I tell you, he will see that they get justice, and quickly, However, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth?"
Heb 12:27	The words "once more" indicate the removing of what can be shaken--that is, created things--so that what cannot be shaken may reamin.
	Timing of
Lk 12:40	You also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him."
Lk 17:23-24	Men will tell you, 'There he is!' or 'Here he is!' Do not go running off after them. For the Son of Man in his day will be like the lightning, which flashes and lights up the sky from one end to the other.
Lk 21:32	I tell you the truth, this generation will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened.
Jn 16:16	In a little while you will see me no more, and then after a little while you will see me
1Th 5:2	for you know very well that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night.
1Ti 4:1	The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons.
1Ti 6:13-15	I charge you to keep this command without spot or blame until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ, which God will bringabout in his own time--God, the blessed and only Ruler, the King of kings and Lord of lords, who alone is immortal and who lives in unapproachable light
2Ti 3:1	But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days.
James 5:9	Don't grumble against each other, brothers, or you will be judged. The Judge is standing at the door.
1Pe 4:7	The end of all things is near. Therefore be clear minded and self-controlled so that you can pray.
Rev 22:12	Behold, I am coming soon! My reward is with me, and I will give to everone according to what he has done.
	Waiting for
1Th 1:9-10	for they themselves report what kind of reception you gave us. They tell how you turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God, and to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead--Jesus, who rescues us from the coming wrath.
1Jn 2:18	Dear children, this is the last hour; and as you have heard that the antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have come. This is how we know it is the last hour.
