Lafayette Park / Riverfront Trail Bicycle Ride Meet at the Northeast corner of Lafayette Park, (Mississippi and Park) for an out and back bicycle ride on streets and the St. Louis Riverfront Trail. The ride could be up to 25 miles in length, but for an evening jaunt we will turn around in order to avoid bicycling in the dark! The trail is paved and passes an interesting mix of urban industrial and almost rural areas. If it is cold enough one might see gulls and eagles along the river! Warmer weather wildlife may be viewed in their season. Some native wildflowers have been planted along parts of the trail. Dress for the weather and bring the usual: water, snacks, tools and innertube (for your size tires). There is currently no food along the trail, but water and a restroom are available during the day on Summer weekends. On an organized ride we will probably eat at Lafayette Park on our return. Also on organized rides: No go in rain, snow, icy roads at start time. Route info. can be seen at: http://www.geocities.com/kkleen9/rvrtrlcu.html
