Welcome to Krystal Kourt JRTs. We are located in NE Texas about an hours' drive from Dallas. We are a small kennel and breed only a few litters a year. We also show our wonderful Jack Russells, mostly at JRTCA sanctioned trials. Our kennel is registered with the JRTCA as well as our breeding stock.
We have 6 resident JRTs. Daisy, our first jack, is a black/white broken female. Sarah is a tri-color broken female. Betsy, aka Moon Pie, is a black/white rough female. Tucker and Scamper are tri-color broken males and Taffy is a tri-color smooth female.

Jack Russells are primarily hunting dogs. They were bred to hunt fox and they are also used to hunt many other animals, such as, raccoon, groundhog and rats. In Guam they are also used to hunt a deadly brown tree snake that tries to hitch rides to the US aboard outbound aircraft. Jack Russells make great family pets, but they are not for everyone because they require alot of attention and exercize. Jack Russells do well in pretty much anything they try. The Jack Russell got its name from the Parson John Russell who originally bred these wonderful dogs. His first Jack Russell was known as Trump according to many histories on the JRT.
Jack Russells do not do well with small animals such as cats and other small pets. Although they have been known to be best friends with some when raised together. Jacks also do not usually do well with each other. When two jacks are together it is best if they are male and female.
Jack Russells can be your best friend or your worst enemy.
