More adventures in Queenstown!!!
My biggest adrenalin rush and something I swore I would never do, (but you just get all caught up in the moment and the whole idea of being in New Zealand and, you know, go hard or go home, etc., etc.) was a bungy jump!  Can you believe? I jumped off The Ledge, 400 meters above Queenstown, to be exact.  And only one way down!  Ride up the side of a mountain in a gondola, get off and walk out on this massive platform built out over-looking the city, hook yourself into some straps on the end of a big rubber band and...JUMP!!!  AAAAAAAGGGHHHH!!!! Probably one of the scariest things I've ever done in my life!  Without a doubt.  But I did it, and I've got the video to prove it, baby!
The Ledge is not the highest bungy in the Southern Hemisphere.  The Pipeline lays claim to that with a 102m freefall into the gorge of Skippers Canyon.  You just dive off this bridge. That was a bit beyond my nerve at the time but the Ledge was as much of a thrill as I needed for the moment...
Queenstown has every type of adventure activity imaginable; rafting, heli-bungy, acrobatic flights, river-sledging, jetboating, hang-gliding, parasailing, skydiving, you name it... they've got it!  And a non-stop nightlife that's 24/7!  Queenstown is the place you go to physically, emotionally and financially wreck yourself and the entire bus-load of travelers leave for Christchurch a shell of the person they once were.  Pretty hysterical, actually. But GREAT FUN!!!
After Queenstown, Christchurch is a bit of a let-down.  Not that it's not a cool place in it's own right, but you've just got to come down after all the adrenalin of Queenstown and Christchurch is the next stop on the trip.  And, for me, the last stop of my stay in New Zealand.  I'm waiting for some mail to arrive and then I'm off to Oz!  I've had a brilliant time here and am sad to leave but new adventures lie ahead....
New Zealand was everything I'd hoped it would be and much more!  Ah...it's always so hard to say good-bye...  Will let you know when I arrive down under.  Take care all.
Love,
Kodie
Last page for now... but don't despair, I'll be adding more soon.  For now, adios and God bless...
