I lived near Washington, DC for many years. Check out the Smithsonian and other interesting sites (and sights). Here is the official Washington, DC tourism website.
Now I live in San Francisco. I attend medical school at the University of California San Francisco. So much to see! But if you visit, don't miss the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art!

For the best website in the WHOLE WORLD (or so I've been told)...
Speaking of Honduras - Latin music! That's the way to go. Check out Shakira, Mana, The Gipsy Kings, Ricardo Arjona, Elvis Crespo, and many others (don't forget the International Latin Music Hall of Fame!)
| PLACES A little bit about my new home - sunny California (quite a misnomer as far as San Franciscans are concerned!) The state animal is the California Grizzly Bear. I haven't seen one yet. I've done a little bit of globehopping. Click here (TRAVEL!) to learn a bit about where I've been. Maybe one day, I'll learn to scan in photos or will decide to put something original on this website. But for now, go to my (under construction!) traveling page to see me mooch off of other people's creativity. SOUL FOOD W.B. Yeats - although I know very little about verse, I have come to love the soothing melodies of W.B. Yeats' poetry. I plan to live near the Lake Isle of Innisfree someday, so if you find it, please tell me how to get there. Perhaps for the same reasons that I feel in love with Anne of Green Gables when I was young, I found Amelie to be one of the most enchanting characters that I have ever encountered on the big screen. If you have not seen it, run out now - but before renting it, try to find it playing in an old movie theater, like the Byrd Theater in Richmond, VA (where I saw Amelie with my boyfriend, Brian!) Built in 1922 and featuring a Wurlitzer organ (played before evening shows), The Castro Theatre in the Castro District of San Francisco is a fantastic place to see movies - and it shows great ones, too! I just saw "The Great Escape" for the first time. I highly recommend it, if for no other reason than for a glance at Charles Bronson's upper body as it appeared in 1963. For interesting film trivia, check out www.filmsite.org and see if you agree with its picks for the top 100 and 200 films of all time. Everyone should take up knitting. You never know when you might need to manufacture your own clothing, particularly socks and underwear. Knitted bloomers - now those are comfortable, even if they do tend to produce a visible pantyline. Since I am running out of room, I'm going to link to a new page. So click HERE for more great survival tips!
