Attention all walkers and prayer warriors:
We would like to invite you to Join us this year to participate in our Prayer walk for Operation Christmas child. Part of my Job As prayer team coordinator for the project in East Tn is to coordinate as much prayer as we can. We feel God has led us to begin this prayer walk and it is open to anyone to join .
What we ask:
Psalm 35 teaches us to "Commit thy way unto the Lord" so the first thing we ask is before you begin your walk , commit that mile or whatever distance you intend to walk unto the Lord. Second is we ask that you pray for the children who will benefit from this project as well as for the many volunteers and ministry partners worldwide and other prayer needs listed here while you walk. Third: " Trust also in him " Please put the faith behind your prayers, believing that God is going to supply these needs." And he shall bring it to pass".
You can walk as much as you like. You can do it as a one time thing or as a daily , weekly or monthly thing. You determine the miles and the time that you will put in.

What to pray for
Listed here are some of our prayer needs.
*Pray for the hurting children and their families whose lives will be touched this year through Operation Christmas child. Pray especially that many hearts will be opened to God's love and the good news of Jesus Christ.
*Most children who receive shoe box gifts live in desperate circumstances, suffering from abject poverty,sickness,war, or natural disaster.Pray that God will meet their physical, emotional and spiritual needs.
*Pray for our ministry partners in countries around the world, especially that the shoe box gifts will be effective tools for evangelism.Pray also for their follow-up and discipleship programs.
*Gift filled shoe boxes are distributed in some countries that are not receptive to the gospel of Jesus Christ.Pray that doors will be opened, so the good news can be shared.
*Pray for individuals, families, churches, and groups who will be filling shoe boxes this year, especially for the children.Pray that they will see that it is truly more blessed to give than to receive.
*Pray for everyone involved in collecting, processing, transporting, and delivering shoe boxes, including the tens of thousands of volunteers, pray especially for the timely delivery of the gifts.
*Pray for Samaritan's purse staff and volunteers in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, the Netherlands, Germany and Australia, as they deal with logistical challenges of Operation Christmas child.
Other prayer needs: Pray for our local Team leaders here and that God will guide them in all their ways. Our area team leaders , The Maggards, Our church relations coordinator , that God will open doors for churches that have never participated before to get involved. For our Community relations coordinator that many local businesses and clubs will be eager to get involved this year. For our media relations coordinator that God will grant favor both locally and nationally in the media. For Our collection center and relay center coordinators. Pray God will bless all of our local dedicated volunteers during Collection week. Please pray for me that I can inspire others to pray.

We have one little lady in a wheel chair that helps us pray .Anyone can join.
I am keeping a walk log to record my miles each week. If you choose to do this feel free to drop us an email and let us know how many miles you have walked monthly , weekly or whatever is convenient for you . Thanks for your help in praying for these children and this project. Prayer is the most important ingredient we can send along with these shoe boxes.
