John 3:16 * A thought for you today inspired by true story in Recent News headlines 1-29-08: This morning I read of a medical miracle that has left dr's stunned. A fifteen year old girl in Australia, Demi Lee Brennan( A LIVER TRANSPLANT RECIPIENT) has taken on her donors blood type and immune system. As far as is known in the medical world this is the first time ever this has happened to a person's body. This means she will not have to take any antirejection medications for the rest of her life. Her body went through it's own bone marrow transplant by adopting the donors blood type and immune system . I couldn't help but think when I read this, God can do all things! This was a medical miracle of the body but it duplicates the same thing that happens spiritually to a soul when we are saved. This girl had a liver that was killing her. We had sin killing us , we had no hope of healing within oursleves, we needed a miracle! The Only way for this girl to live was through a donor . Someone else had to lose their life so that she could live. Are you seeing a pattern here? Our Savior gave his life for us so that we could have eternal life! What a sacrifice of love. Most organ donors don't know ahead of time they are going to die , some may have medical issues and KnoW but most die unexpectedly in an accident . Our savior Knew what it would take for mankind to be saved and he GAVE WILLINGLY his life giving blood for us. When we receive that blood of Jesus in our hearts through believing and repentance unto salvation , there is an immediate change takes place. The death sentence is gone and now we have hope . A new life in Christ. Eternal life! What happened literally to this girl is a medical miracle, what happens to a soul transformed by the blood of Jesus is a miracle! Our soul has taken on the blood type of our donor praise the lord! It caused an automatic transplant! (If any man be in Christ he is a new creature ,old things are passed away, behold all things are made new) It goes all the way to the bone! I received a blessing from this . I hope that many people will see this girls story and realize if it is possible for the body it is possible for the soul! God manifests himself to mankind in many different ways.
