A Study Of Christmas

The reason for the season!

We will discuss FAITHFUL PRIEST, A RIGHTEOUS WOMAN AND AN ANGEL'S VISIT.

Things were beginning to happen..
Luke 1
5 ¶ There was in the days of Herod, the king of Judaea, a certain priest named Zacharias, of the course of Abia: and his wife was of the daughters of Aaron, and her name was Elisabeth.
6 And they were both righteous before God, walking in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord blameless.
7 And they had no child, because that Elisabeth was barren, and they both were now well stricken in years.
8 And it came to pass, that while he executed the priest's office before God in the order of his course,
9 According to the custom of the priest's office, his lot was to burn incense when he went into the temple of the Lord.
10 And the whole multitude of the people were praying without at the time of incense.

Zacharias. He was a righteous and faithful servant of God, as was his wife Elizabeth.
They had always kept God's commandments.. the scripture said ..they were blameless.
Faithful and blameless yet Elizabeth had always been Barren. Zacharias had prayed for a child because the angel will tell him that his prayer has been heard. In those days when a woman could not bear children.. it was a reproach ..people looked on her as if she were less of a person.. as if she had done some great wrong to be so afflicted but Elizabeth was innocent.. No doubt.. she knew and felt the scorned looks, heard the whispers yet she remained righteous and blameless before the Lord through it all.. No doubt never speaking ill of any that had falsely accused her ,looked down upon her or thought less of her.. We should all be as Elizabeth was. She had a desire to have children as all women did.. that is how a family name could live on in Israel. We should desire that our life would be fruitful. The Lord told Adam AND Eve to be fruitful and multiply.. he wanted them to have children naturally but I believe he also meant this spiritually.. What are we leaving behind when we leave this world.. spiritually? Have we bore fruits of salvation.. have there been spiritual births because of our Christian walk or are we spiritually barren..? We should desire to be a fruitful Christian and if we are not we can pray like Zacharias and Elizabeth did. God heard their prayer but he waited.. they had given up.. surely it was not possible now. for them being so old. No they thought they would surely leave no heirs.. they saw no chance of becoming parents. God never forsakes his faithful and righteous servants though.. God had a plan for these special two.. then those who had whispered and scorned and scoffed would be speechless, amazed that God performed a miracle for these two people.. these two had been chosen for a most precious and holy child.. the one to be the forerunner.. to prepare the way for our precious Lord and Savior. What a blessing! When all hope was gone God gave a miracle. The scripture says that his strength is made perfect in weakness. If Elizabeth had gave birth at a normal age there would not have been nothing so spectacular about what happened.. There is a time for every purpose under heaven.. it was time and they had been chosen not forsaken. Everyone would marvel and know that something wonderful had happened to Zacharias when he was back there alone offering the incense up before the Lord.. as his order was.. All the children of Aaron were to minister in the temple in a certain order.. Zacharias was not first in line.. not second.. or third he was eighth according to his family order as recorded in 2nd Chronicles 24 :10 .. Nothing spectacular about that right? my mind goes back to another incident in God's word when God almighty told Samuel .. Go down and see a man called Jesse.. I have chosen one of his sons to be the King.. Oh Jesse had some fine sons.. yes indeed.. strong valiant looking men.. Seven of them stood before Samuel.. Samuel knew for sure one of these must be the one he passed by number one.. God said no.. number two.. not him ...three..four ..five.. six seven.. is this all of your sons Jesse? These are not chosen.. is there another?? one .. the youngest.. no one had thought to call him.. he was just a lad.. a little shepherd boy.. nothing special about him right?? wrong. They called the lad.. his name was David.. He was a tender shepherd.. he would kill a lion and a bear to defend his flock.. he would bring down a Giant and serve his nation for 40 years.. God can take the weakest.. the smallest and do great things.. with a shepherd boy he slew a giant.. with a a few loaves and fishes he fed a multitude.. WITH GOD ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE! So thus he chose these two special ones for a very special baby boy.. to be the parents of this chosen vessel.
So if you feel you are not doing any good, that there is no hope for being fruitful.. surely something is wrong with you.. no my friend.. remember Elizabeth and Zacharias... wait patiently on the Lord.. all in good time.. all things work together for good to them that love the Lord.

Luke 1:11-17
11 And there appeared unto him an angel of the Lord standing on the right side of the altar of incense.
12 And when Zacharias saw him, he was troubled, and fear fell upon him.
13 But the angel said unto him, Fear not, Zacharias: for thy prayer is heard; and thy wife Elisabeth shall bear thee a son, and thou shalt call his name John.
14 And thou shalt have joy and gladness; and many shall rejoice at his birth.
15 For he shall be great in the sight of the Lord, and shall drink neither wine nor strong drink; and he shall be filled with the Holy Ghost, even from his mother's womb.
16 And many of the children of Israel shall he turn to the Lord their God.
17 And he shall go before him in the spirit and power of Elias, to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just; to make ready a people prepared for the Lord.

What a Blessing!
Things were beginning to happen!
Zacharias was faithfully performing his duty here before the Lord. When we are doing God's will we will receive great blessings!
What news theat he got on this day!
God let him know what great thing he was about to do. He sent his Angel with a message to Zacharias...a wonderful message.. almost impossible to believe ..Zacharias saw the angel and was afraid but the angel told him to not fear "thy prayer is heard" ! What incredible news this was! A miracle ! Zacharias probably wondered if he was just seeing things or if he had lost his mind or if it was just a dream.. he asked later how will I know this? God can always show us and prove to us what his will is for our lives.
The Angel told him everything even what to name the child.. He said thy wife Elizabeth shall bear thee a son.. this would be a miracle indeed! He told him that he would have joy and gladness and that many would rejoice at his birth and then he told Zacharias who this child would be.. the greatest news of all! Zacharias was first to know that the messiah was soon to be born! How honored he must have felt! What an honor to have been chosen for this special miracle. The angel said that John would be filled with the holy spirit even from his mothers womb...now that should tell these pro abortion people something.. There is life at conception and there is feeling!
Zacharias and Elizabeth had been chosen!
What a special honor!
Now that Joy was going to be theirs... the scripture says to "delight thyself in the Lord and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart". They had desired a child.. they had prayed for a child .. they were righteous and blameless before God keeping his commandments.. that tells me that they delighted in the Lord and he was going to give them their desire in a most extraordinary way! God can make a way when there is no way!
God is faithful to reward us for our faithfulness.. the promises in his word.. he keeps. What a blessing.. it had been prophesied in the scriptures all down through time of Jesus birth but when Zacharias got this news that day he was the first to know of the saviors coming birth and of his son's part in this plan!
How good God is! If he could have came out from there speaking he probably would not have been able to hold this great news in about the savior would soon be born.I believe it was not time for the world to know yet but God was at work.. things were beginning to happen! What a sight Zacharias must have been when he came from behind that curtain.. not being able to speak but trying to gesture to the people...they knew something had happened! People can tell by our actions when we have been with the Lord...there is a testimony there beyond words! God knows all things.. but I can just picture this.. can't you?

Favour with God.
Luke 1
And the angel came unto her and said hail, thou that art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women.
29 And when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying, and cast in her mind what manner of salutation this should be.
30 And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favor with God.
31 And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS.
***
Favour with God.
What a blessing it would be to know that you had found favour with God.. Just to know that he was pleased with your life!
Not only had Mary found favour but the angel said she was highly favoured.
She must have been a most special woman indeed to have been chosen as the one to bring forth the birth of God's son, the promised messiah.
This is the hope Israel had to look too. Mary no doubt had waited for this promise never dreaming she would be the one. More incredible news was coming to her this day from the same Angel that had visited with Zacharias.
She had been afraid just as Zacharias had been when she saw this angel and heard his salutation and wondered at it. This is something that just didnt happen ... an angel appearing. Also she knew, she was still in her year of trial period where if she was found with child the law was for her to be stoned. What faith she had to have to believe that everything would be alright.
What an extraordinary person! Mary and Joseph were very poor people as far as material wealth of the world but were rich toward God , and the angel told her that she was blessed among women. We spoke last week how it was a reproach to be barren, not only was Mary going to have a child but it was God's child. That was the highest honor any woman in that day could have hoped for and Mary was chosen. I am blessed each time I read of Mary.
How she took the news and what she told the angel... the praise she offered unto the Lord.. what she told the servants at the wedding " whatever he tells you to do.. do it" .And at the cross. I think of the journey they had to make and her being so near her time.. 70 miles.. how long did they travel to get that far ? The last month of a pregnancy is the most uncomfortable.. and they were traveling by foot or a donkey some speculate because Joseph would not have been able to afford a horse or camel most likely. A donkey is a sure footed animal but most uncomfortable to ride. I'm sure Mary felt every step. (but I'm getting ahead of the scripture somewhat.. I just sit in wonder at this woman)
Favour with God.
We should always be living and doing our best for God.
Who knows what work he might choose us to do.
May God bless you all!

Luke chapter 0ne
32: He shall be great, and shall be called the son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David:
33:And he shall reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of his Kingdom there shall be no end.
34:Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be seeing I know not a man?
35:And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the Power of the highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the son of God.
36:And ,behold, thy cousin Elizabeth, she hath also conceived a son in her old age: and this is the sixth month with her, who was called barren.
37:For with God nothing shall be impossible.
And Mary said, Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according to thy word. And the Angel departed from her.

Here the Angel tells Mary in Great detail all things which are about to come to pass, he answered her question, he also told her of Elizabeth and the miracle they were receiving. This was overwhelming news but I am always touched and awed at how Mary received this message humbly and trusting saying : Behold the handmaid of the Lord; she was willing to be used , she accepted this very humbly. I can't help but wonder at all the thoughts that ran through her mind, the fears she may have had, if she was anything like us she might even start doubting what she had seen and wondered if it was just her imagination or a dream.. but there was the news of Elizabeth.. was it true? This I feel the angel told her so that any doubts she might have had about what was about to happen she could be reassured when she found out what he had told her about Elizabeth because that would indeed be a miracle from God. Mary had to go and see Elizabeth, she had to see for herself.. no doubt she knew she could talk this all over with Elizabeth, Elizabeth would understand. I love the psalm that says "I will lift mine eyes unto the hills from whence cometh my help, my help cometh from the Lord!" In the next verse it says :
39: And Mary arose in those days and went into the hill country with haste into the city of Juda;

Luke 1
39 ¶ And Mary arose in those days, and went into the hill country with haste, into a city of Juda;
40 And entered into the house of Zacharias, and saluted Elisabeth.
41 And it came to pass, that, when Elisabeth heard the salutation of Mary, the babe leaped in her womb; and Elisabeth was filled with the Holy Ghost:
42 And she spake out with a loud voice, and said, Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb.
43 And whence is this to me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me?
44 For, lo, as soon as the voice of thy salutation sounded in mine ears, the babe leaped in my womb for joy.
45 And blessed is she that believed: for there shall be a performance of those things which were told her from the Lord.
***
It was true. Mary knew now. she saw it for herself and Elizabeth knew too. When the babe in her womb leaped for joy. What a witness that was for both of these women. Zacharias had told Elizabeth all about what the angel had told him, their child was to be the forerunner and =he would prepare the way for the messiah. This was a witness. What spirit they both must have felt!
Elizabeth even said to her "blessed art thou among women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb" So Elizabeth knew, when she heard Mary's greeting and the baby inside her leaped for joy.. she knew..Mary didnt even have to tell her. Elizabeth exalted Mary above herself and with humbleness said " whence is this to me, that the mother of my lord should come to me? " These were two very humble, very righteous women. They both had much to rejoice about. Any doubts Mary would have had would now disappear. Elizabeth then spoke of Mary's faith " blessed is she that believed for there shall be a performance of those things which were told her from the Lord" . Mary had great faith. This must have been one of the reasons she was chosen and so highly favored.
These two here are a great example. If only we could have such faith, all we need is as much as a mustard seed and the word says we can move mountains. Often times we tend to doubt and our faith is weak. We must be strong and exercise our faith so that it will grow and have an affect on others.
I hope you have been blessed by this scripture today,
I know I always am.

Mary's song
Luke 1
46 And Mary said, My soul doth magnify the Lord,
47 And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour.
48 For he hath regarded the low estate of his handmaiden: for, behold, from henceforth all generations shall call me blessed.
49 For he that is mighty hath done to me great things; and holy is his name.
50 And his mercy is on them that fear him from generation to generation.
51 He hath shewed strength with his arm; he hath scattered the proud in the imagination of their hearts.
52 He hath put down the mighty from their seats, and exalted them of low degree.
53 He hath filled the hungry with good things; and the rich he hath sent empty away.
54 He hath holpen his servant Israel, in remembrance of his mercy;
55 As he spake to our fathers, to Abraham, and to his seed for ever.
56 And Mary abode with her about three months, and returned to her own house.

This scripture has been referred to as "Mary's song"
Her song of praise unto God for the mighty things he has done.
She gives us a good example to follow on offering praise.
I love the first words..
"My soul doth magnify the Lord".
When we magnify something we are making it more visible or easy to see.
We should all "magnify the Lord in our lives" so that others can see him in us.
For generations the children of Israel had waited for this promise to be fulfilled and now it was coming to pass and Mary was chosen to be a part of that.
The highest of all honors to be chosen as the mother of Christ.
She would be there for him whatever he needed as any good mother would be.. She was rejoicing at his coming. Have we lost that in the hustle and bustle of the season? Don't lose that joy.
"Joy to the world ..the Lord has come!"
we have much to be rejoicing about today!
This is a very special season.. a time to reflect upon our saviors birth. That is what it is all about.
What a very special Woman Mary must have been to be given this Honor.
We have been blessed with this priceless moment recorded here, this small glimpse into Mary's heart.
It blesses my soul. I hope it does yours as well.

Matthew 1:18-25
Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost.
Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not willing to make her a public example, was minded to put her away privily.
But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost.
And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name Jesus: for he shall save his people from their sins. Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet saying,
Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.
Then Joseph being raised from sleep did as the angel of the Lord had bidden him, and took unto him his wife:
And knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name Jesus.

She was his wife. They had said their vows and according to their custom in that day after the ceremony took place there was a period of time set.. usually a year.. During that year the Husband was to prepare the Home for his bride and the bride was on a trial period. They were not to consummate the marriage until this time was up nor live together and it was during this time that Joseph found out Mary was with child.
What was he to do? He knew the law: Make her a public example and have her stoned to death.. but Joseph just couldn't do that. He was a man of mercy.. he thought to somehow secretly put her away or divorce her.
Some people have misunderstood the meaning of espoused before and assumed it meant "engaged" but the bible clearly says that she was his wife and he was her husband. Another point to this is that you cannot "put away" or divorce someone if you are not married to them.. correct?
This is a beautiful thought I heard my husband bring out in a message of his concerning that preparation period. As we said.. the Husband was to prepare the home. Jesus brought Mercy down to Earth and to mankind.. we enter into a covenant with him in Salvation and become part of the bride of Christ. Jesus said :In My Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself: that where I am, there ye may be also. (John 14:2-3)." Christ is the bridegroom, we, the church are his bride.. we have said our vows in Salvation, Now we are in that waiting period. We are not waiting for anything to be completed.. Jesus prepared a place for us on the cross of Calvary.. he isn't up in heaven with hammers and saws.. he completed it all he said "IT IS FINISHED". We are merely waiting now for his return for us, his bride. Joseph was a merciful man , Jesus was merciful.
We read then of the third time the Angel Gabriel then appears to someone.. This time to Joseph.. he tells him of the plan and to "Fear not".
He explained to Joseph the whole wonderful plan and Joseph believed. Joseph obeyed the angel . Gabriel explained this was to fulfill a prophesy that a "virgin shall bring forth a son". Joseph new then and believed.. Mary was innocent, she had not done any wrong but rather she had been chosen as he had to be part of this wonderful plan. Joseph was just a carpenter, he knew how to build things .He knew how to repair things. He would no doubt teach Jesus a lot about his trade. Jesus would not grow up to be a worker in wood but would grow up to prepare a way from Earth to Heaven.. he would be able to mend hearts, heal bodies and souls.. building something much greater and no matter what was brought before him.. nothing was impossible for him to do.. Nor will there ever be..
Because of Bethlehem.. because of the very first Christmas we have God with us.. that is what his name meant. He is our constant help and companion. He is around long after all the manger scenes are packed away. He promised never to leave us or forsake us.. sounds like a marriage vow doesn't it? No matter what.. God is with us!

Luke 2:1-6
And it came to pass in those days, that there went out a decree from Caesar Augustus, that all the world should be taxed.
(And this taxing was first made when Cyrenius was governor of Syria)
And all went to be taxed, every one into his own city.
And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judea, unto the city of David, which is called Bethlehem; (because he was of the house and lineage of David;)
To be taxed with Mary his espoused wife, being great with child.
And so it was, that, while they were there, the days were accomplished that she should be delivered.
***
A prophecy was being fulfilled here. The prophet Micah had prophesied the messiah would be born in Bethlehem of Judea. God's words are true. What he has promised so he will do.
There are many good inspiring thoughts in this scripture.. to many probably to record but we will touch on just a few.
First of all.. the way was not easy. They must travel to Bethlehem for the prophecy to be fulfilled. This would be hard especially for Mary, she was near her time for the baby to be born. This is the most uncomfortable time of pregnancy. The Journey they took was estimated to be between 70 and 90 miles. If your bible has a map in the back look and find Nazareth and then Bethlehem, notice the way would cross some rough terrain, mountains, streams or rivers, perhaps they encountered rough weather. The way was not easy for Mary and Joseph, the way was not easy for Jesus. God never promised us it would be a smooth easy road, but he promised he would go with us all the way, he would give us rest if we grew weary. He promised blessings and when we reach the end of our Journey he promised us a home in Heaven. God will keep his promises.
Another thought I get from this scripture is the life and the light that Mary carried inside her.
She was the first to carry this light. Many had believed it would come and by faith looking ahead embraced that light, but Mary carried it. Even though this light had been in existence since the beginning through the birth she was about to give, the light would become flesh and dwell among us. Because of this birth.. we could have a spiritual birth and what a miracle happens! This light that Mary carried inside her we now carry inside our heart, now the life is within us and the light that he brings should shine forth. Third. it says : "the days were accomplished that she should be delivered". The time of promise had come.. the days were accomplished, not just for Mary but for the world.. the time had come for this birth to take place. The time for a baby to be delivered so that we could have deliverance. The time had come for Mary to be delivered, the time had come for mankind to be delivered.
God's perfect gift.
The first and greatest Christmas present.
The Love of God surely surpasses all of Mankind's understanding.
What a precious gift!

Luke Chapter 2
8 ¶ And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night.
9 And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid.
10 And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.
11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.
12 And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.
13 And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying,
14 Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.
15 And it came to pass, as the angels were gone away from them into heaven, the shepherds said one to another, Let us now go even unto Bethlehem, and see this thing which is come to pass, which the Lord hath made known unto us.
16 And they came with haste, and found Mary, and Joseph, and the babe lying in a manger.
17 And when they had seen it, they made known abroad the saying which was told them concerning this child.
18 And all they that heard it wondered at those things which were told them by the shepherds.
19 But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart.
20 And the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things that they had heard and seen, as it was told unto them.

The bible tells us that the Humble shall be exalted.
What Glorious news to come to these simple shepherds who was out faithfully tending their flock on this cold night. God saw fit to reveal this wondrous news to them, not the nobles and Kings.
What a wonderful blessing.
The news came to their hearts that night .
It was "made known" unto them.
There was a time in our lives that the message came to us, it comes to all at one time or another. The message that there is a savior, and with that message is instructions on how and where to find him. The Shepherds believed and went with haste to see this thing that was told them of the angels.
When the lost follow God's spirit they too will find themselves at the feet of the savior.
When they saw him they bowed and worshipped him, showing forth their humbleness and their faith toward him.
We had to come the same way in humbleness and faith believing that he is a rewarder of those who diligently seek him. They left there that night rejoicing and told everyone all these things that had happened unto them and what they had found when they followed The Angel's message. Reminds you of when you were saved and how you had a testimony that you had met the Savior, doesnt it?
All scriptures in God's word holds a message for us to today.
I hope you have enjoyed these thoughts today!

Luke 2 1

¶ Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem, 2 Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him. *** The bible says that the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. Spiritually when we realized our lost condition and the spirit was guiding us unto salvation and we started to "seek" the Lord, then we were also as these wise men. Yes, these men were well educated no doubt, they studied the stars and knew this star meant something.. they had to find out for themselves where this new King was and so they went to Jerusalem. In that day it was the holy city, the place where you went to worship God. In this scripture I believe that is was a figure or example of the church. Even though Herod was not part of that but there were those in Jerusalem who knew the scriptures and of the promises God had made, they knew the word of God. There was a shorter route to Bethlehem but these wise men went to Jerusalem just as I believe the lost has to come through the church. I don't mean you have to be saved in church. God can save anywhere , I am talking about the preached word of God that points the way to Jesus. These wise men were seeking Jesus. Isn't that what we did when were were walking that road of repentance. We had seen a light and it was compelling us to come and follow it. These wise men were drawn by this star to come and see where it would lead them. They believed it meant a new King had been born, they wanted to go and worship him and they would take something to offer to him. We too have to believe through faith when the spirit is leading us, when we see the light and realize there is a King of glory who died for us so that we might be saved, we through our faith are led just as the wise men were to the savior. They had a desire in their hearts to find him, did we not have that same desire when we sought him for our souls salvation? Yes we did. For those lost souls, they must follow the light, and the spirit. Remember that great light that shone around Saul and revealed to him his wrong and the truth about Jesus that he had been working so hard against. Right there He became blind. We were blind to at one time but when Saul followed that voice it led him to someone who could help him, someone who could pray, someone close to God, someone who was part of the church Ananias. When Saul did everything he could do.. God did the rest and the scales fell from his eyes. "Amazing grace how sweet the sound that saved a wretch like me! I once was lost but now I'm found, was blind but now I see." Later he would become apostle Paul. Saul became wise and he moved with fear when he heard the voice and saw the light, we did the same thing when God spoke to our hearts and the light of his love shone around us. Those who hear the voice and see the light and don't move are not being wise. The bible says a wise man will build his house upon a rock not shifting sand as the foolish do. Another scripture is the wise and foolish virgins. Five were wise, five made use of the opportunity given them to get prepared, the other five didn't.. only five entered in, then the others knocked but it was to late, they had no oil in their vessels. They were virgins, good moral people but that wasn't enough.. they didn't have the oil. Oil is used to create a light, No oil no light. No Jesus, no salvation.. but living in darkness. Oh we must pray for our lost people, we all know many I know. Think about how many lost you know and pray that they will see the light and get curious and start asking questions of us, where is he, how do I find Jesus, How can I get what you have? The only light they may see may be in us, so keep your lamps all trimmed and burning. Remember when you saw that light and realized you were in darkness? Remember your curiosity and wanting to learn more and asking questions. Remember making your desire known? These wise men were asking where he was " for we are come to worship him"
