Tennis Racquet: Tennis racquets have changed over the years. The tennis frames used to be made from wood. In the sixties and before, the frames were made of wood. In the seventies, a lot of players  switched to metal frames made of aluminum and steel. After that came the frames of composite material and graphite.

The size of the racquet head area has also increased from about 60 sq. inches to about 95 sq. inches. There are oversized racquets with are of 105 sq. inches of racquet head area.

Tennis Racquet Strings: Tennis racquet strings are made of nylon or composite materials. The tension of the string is personal choice of the player. At lower tension, there is increase in power but loss of control.

Tennis Balls: Tennis balls are made of rubber core and a combination of wool and nylon. They can be white, yellow and of other multi colors.

Regular Duty tennis balls are for use on clay court and indoor courts. The Heavy Duty balls are used for play on hard courts. Wilson is manufacturing some tennis balls with Titanium in them which improves the strength and durability of balls.
The tennis balls are pressurized and sold in pressurized containers.

At championships, the balls are stored at certain temperature. The balls at tennis matches are changed after the first seven games after start of match and after every nine games after that. The first change is after seven games because the balls were used for the warm-up prior to the start of match.

Tennis Clothing: The types of clothes varies at various tournaments. At Wimbledon , the clothes are required to be predominantly white in color. At other championships, the rules are very flexible.
