STIFF Diagrams

You may display a typical STIFF diagram for

  • ground water in limestone; the well Porus 1 (RM-041)
  • ground water in alluvium; the well Needham 2 (RM-242)
  • ground water from both limestone and alluvium (mixed); the well at Hayes Primary School (RM-022)
  • To see the map with locations of these three wells click here.

    In limestones, the water is primarily of calcium-bicarbonate type, while in alluvium the dominant ions are sodium-chloride.
