about this place richardson is next to dallas. if u drive from dallas past richardson, u hit plano. this area has lots of telecom companies. this place is called the telecom corridor. the place is like any american city, slightly costly bcos it is new. lot of space all around. ti and nortel has lots of big offices in this area. temperature this place is real hot in summer and real cold in winter. spring is the only nice time. holi there is a hindu temple at irving. the temple has a big hall with 11 dieties. and then another hall with navagriha and another with ummm ..., 3 more gods. Some ABCDs were celebrating holi there and some girl ABCDs were especially (stunningly) beautiful.they were smiling at us (probably only to draw us into being turned into color targets). but i just cannot forget one of those smiles. mallu store there are a few mallu stores, where we get mallu video cassettes and mallu eatables (fish pickle and frozen kerala porotta (which is 'thattu kada' fresh as soon as u microwave it for 2 minutes), cashews, etc.) driving class a few days back i took my first 2 hour driving class. i am planning to take 2 more of this. the instructor is really good. he insisted and changed the way i hold the steering while turning. he said that he takes pride in his students being able to do what he calls 'hands crossing over' while making the turn. and it is just too good. and that is $85 for 2 hours. but worth it. and the car is so simple. i was asking him where the clutch was. also, i started driving at 50 (mph!) (max) speed within 15 minutes of the class. bcos,otherwise u r going to be banged. i am good with the car now, i have to only get tuned to the traffic. food in office food is great in office. right now i am finishing off a tin (small) of pringles. we get tea/coffee and other snacks thru the day. my favourtites are pringle and what else - 'danish butter cookies' 3-27-2000 |
