1 one step at a time
she
said she’d never leave me, and I didn’t think she’d go
said
she really loved me but it never ever showed
I
knew I couldn’t hold her, but I never really tried
I
lived my life just for her, I know it was a lie
I’m
takin’ one step at a time
I
met her at a disco back in 1984,
said
that we could make a life together for ever more
you
moved your life into mine you shaped me as your own
now
I’m lost in your love, I feel so damn alone
I’m
takin one step at a time
chorus
Takin’
one step at a time, leavin everything behind
I
got my sights set on something new, one step at a time getting over you
One step at a time getting over you
Walking
in the park alone, my memory takes control,
Takes
me to your lovin’ arms, I loved you heart and sole
I’ve
learnt a lot in my life, I’ve lost more than it seems
I
lost you then I’ll lose again, but I’ll never lose my dreams
I’m
takin one step at a time
Chorus,
solo, chorus,
2 Take me back
Seeing
you for the first time in about 15 years, makes me think of the fun times we
both had
And
knowin you I know we’ve had one hell of a time, take me back when I was just a
lad
chorus
Oh
take me back to the swimming hole a slab of beer and a fishin pole
Friday
night , disco dancing round
Wearin
purple flares and tie dye shirts, girls in platform shoe’s and mini skirts
We
went through school , from one to ten, the first few years of work were just the same
Then
we seemed to drift apart, memories are all that remain
Chorus
A bunch of mates guy’s and gal’s a parties goin on, abba’s blastin on the radio we know all the songs
Leaving
home for the first time, away from mum and dad, in a dingy one bedroom pad
alone
Chorus

3 Something
about you baby
Something
about you baby makes me feel all right,
it
might be your smile the way you walk, or hold me tight
Whatever
it is I hope that it can last all night
its
something about you baby, something about you baby I cant fight
something
about your smile that just warms my heart
we’ll
always be together hope we never part
you
are my night my day, you are my glowing light
its
something about you baby, something about you baby I cant fight
chorus
oh
baby cant you see you mean the world to me
and
nothings ever gonna change the way I feel
oh
baby cant you see you mean the world to me
and
nothings gonna change it , nothings gonna change the way I feel
solo
– first verse
4 foxy lady
I
saw you alone at the end of the bar, you looked so petite like a T.V star
Your
eye’s of blue your beach blonde hair, alarm bells rang but I didn’t care
Foxy
lady what are you doin’ in a place like this
Only
a dream, only a hope, only a wish
Hey
foxy lady why do you come here all alone,
and
is there someone waiting for you at home
My
foxy lady
Well
I met her at the bar most every night, I’d hold her so close and squeeze her so
tight
She
told me that she was free and everything seemed special to me
But
something changed it wasn’t the same And I knew I’d never see her again
She’d
never grace that sleazy bar The night I lost my shining star
Chorus
Middle
8
Well
I heard she died on a lonely road a stream of rain, the bitter cold
And
no-one there was by her side, she came and went like the evening tide
Well
the years have passed and the bars closed down, I hear her laughter when the
sun goes down
I
see her smiles as she holds my hand and we dance along to the rockin’ band
I’m
married now with a wife and a child, my wife doesn’t know but I’ve never lied
About
the time’s at the sleazy bar my special friend my shooting star
Chorus
5
getting over you
I
haven’t seen you for so long, I still remember your smile
Hey
you were always a lady, you had grace,
and you had style
Now
you may not know this, I never stopped lovin you
I
know I cant have you , doin the best I can do
Chorus
Hey
getting over you , is harder than it should be
I thought
that when we broke up, I would finally be free
Now
I know you don’t love me, and you got someone new
But
that aint helping my memory, of getting over you
Hey
we were childhood sweethearts we’d skip stones on the lake
We’d
take walks in the sunset; we’d make love when we’d wake
Now
I know that its over, we’ve gone our own separate ways
I’m
trying hard to close this chapter, but its open on our page
Chorus
6
house of hell
on
the outskirts of the city, away from the city smells
far
away from the push and shove, in a lonely prison cell
is
a boy a waiting his verdict , from people he aint ever met
or
knew his life in the house of hell treated like the family pet
in
the house of hell there aint no pardon, in the house of hell, there is no love
in
the house of hell, you do as your told, and pray for help from god above
in
the house of hell
well
at 9 he ‘s stealin money, at 10 he lost his eye for the law
his
mother started drinkin, until she
finally died on the floor
He
went out to start a new one , got himself a wife
Took
her far away from there to start a brand new life
chorus
Well
he started makin money his life was in his hands, until the day he found his
wife in the arms of another man
He
pulled the pistol from the draw and aimed it at her head, pulled the trigger
once or twice and shot them both dead
Chorus
First
verse
7 Anzac’s
The
sound of bugle and marching bands ring out in the street,
The
stomping of ten thousand shoes the throb of marching feet
Today
the men and women think of days gone by
Some
rekindle friendships, some just want to cry
Old
man hold your head up high, you fought for your country you were prepared to
die
So
drink one for you and ya mates
Old
man hold ya head up high, there’s only one questions the questions why
Why
did it all have to be, why did it all have to be
You
were only 18 when they called you up, and you answered their call
Only
a boy with a great big heart, for oz you would fall
And
on this day we call anzac day we remember those who died
The
one’s who came back maimed or hurt some barely alive
chorus

The
battles over so they say, for us its just begun
The
memories never leave us one for all and all for one
The
battles over so they say for us it’s just begun
The
memories never leave us one for all and all for one
The
last post sounds the end is near the final hour comes round
The
old men start to make their way homeward bound
They
have lasted one more anzac day will it be their last
And
if it is I know that we will remember the bloody past
Chorus
Lest
we forget
8 forever
you
know I can’t stop loving you no matter what you do,
I’m
afraid my life is useless there’s nothing without you
I’m
afraid that I might lose you when the night turns cold and dark
What
I’m most afraid of is ya leavin and takin my heart
So
hold me close tonight and tell me is ok
Say
the words you love to hear, the words I always say
Love
me for forever cause forever’s not that long
Two
in love forever, you know it can’t be wrong
I
know you’ll never leave me, cause your always on my mind
I
know I cant posses you, but you know I’m not that king
You
know you are my morning, you are my day as well
I
know that you would pick me up, if I stumble if I fell
