6th Grade
World History
The sixth grade class is now wrapped up in their study of Ancient Egypt. As a class we created a KWL bulletin board. We wrote what we know (or think we know) about ancient Egypt, what we want to learn about ancient Egypt, and as we finish studying a topic we include what we learned.
As part of our unit on ancient Egypt we studied about the process of mummification. Now we are putting our knowledge to the test! The students have been divided into 7 groups where they will be making an actual mummy! Not of another person, but of a cornish game hen. We started the process on January 10th and it will take us quite a few weeks to prepare the mummy for burial. Click below to see pictures of our progress!
