In Chapter 4 the 7th grade class is learning about Spain's influence and exploration of North America. We have learned about many conquistadors, but we are going to focus our study project on Hernan Cortes and his destruction of the Aztec Empire.
After attending the Illinois Education and Technology Conference in Springfield, I learned about some really neat programs that the students will be introduced to during this chapter (Movie Maker, Photostory, etc.)
Actually the students are going to become filmmakers when they create a movie trailer summarizing the story of Cortes and the Aztecs.
