Note from Piers:
The little guitar part under 'We're goin' out with dignity...' etc
is: F# and B on the 4th and 3rd strings, pulled off to A on the 3rd
string and hammered back on again.

The break-down [after the horn break]starts with a EEE-D (7th fret-5th fret).....and
slid down the fretboard.

Verse: B

Well I'm tired of the pressure, so tired of the pace
Just wanna grab you baby and get out of this place
We've got no chance of making it workin' downtown
Just walkin' slow and talkin' low
And tired of goin' down down down

Chorus:
           Bm                G
Start the car, we've gotta move
               Em                      F#
This ain't no livin', this ain't no groove
             Bm          G
It's been a long, hard road
                Em                   F#              B
Better come on baby, let's drive it home, start the car

We started out for paradise, but this ain't no promised land
And this ain't no kind of livin' for an honest workin' man
There's people dyin' on the streets, sure don't make the news
While others livin' up on the hill, singin' the white boy blues

CHORUS

Horn break:
E G A C
E G A B

Well we're goin' out with dignity,
We're goin' out with style
Gonna lay down that hammer baby,
Make our own road across the miles
'Cause I can't take this town one more day

CHORUS 2x and fade on B
