The first time I heard an electric guitar I knew I had to get one!!!
I was walking by a friend, Dave's house, and heard this loud, kicking sound.
My first guitar was a old red acoustic, It wasn't very playable.
Then, when I was a kid, I was riding my bike and a Gray Drug Store was going out of business. Wouldn't you know they had an electric guitar there!! After begging my parents, they gave me the 12.00. and I bought a 2 pickup Teisco.
After playing that for a while I moved up to a Cortez Les Paul copy. I was cranking that through a Checkmate amplifier and a LPB1 Boost. WOW!!! Playing more & more, I got better and eventually joined a garage band, and then another and so on...Eventually starting the origional Crossroads Band. After that I played with the Spoons featuring a mix of modern rock, classis rock and screaming blues.
After years after years of playing, I'm still at it.
I've played Punk, Rock and Blues. I always go back to the Blues.
Some of my favorite times were doing some jam nights, playing with John, Spike and the guys, and Neil Zaza a few times.
It just seems so natural.............that was then...this is now.....
