My Cross
The burdens were so heavy
as I carried my cross
There are friends and family,
most of them are lost
I went to prayer and asked
"God what should I do?"
I've been praying so very long
and I don't seem to get thru!
This cross that I carry makes
me tired, and so full of fear
Why won't they listen to you Lord,
for the time is so near.
He said child! I hear you pray
and my heart goes out to you
But you just won't listen to me,
when I tell you what to do.
I have told you, and you have
read all thru my words
That I even have control over
the smallest of birds
So when the road gets weary,
all is not at loss
Just bring me your burdens,
and lay them down at MY CROSS
Just turn around, don't look back,
walk away without a care
I will handle them all Child,
Just go and Leave them there,
AT MY CROSS
