Welcome January 21, 2000 TIME If you had a bank that credited your account each morning with $86,4000, that carried over no balance from day to day, and allowed you to keep no cash in your account, and every evening canceled the amount you had failed to use during the day, WHAT WOULD YOU DO? Draw out every cent of course! Well, we have such a bank, and it's name is "TIME". Every morning it credits us with 86,400 seconds. Every night it rules off, as lost, whatever of this we have failed to invest for eternal purposes. It carries no balances. It allows no overdrafts. Each day it opens a new account with us. Each night it burns the records of the day. If we fail to use the day's deposits, the loss is ours. There is no drawing against the "tomorrow". We must live in the present ~~ on today's deposits. Ecclesiates 3 tells us that there is a time for everything and a season for every activity under heaven. It is a great comfort to know that God has never and will never be untimely. He always has and always will have perfect timing to accomplish His work in His world. AT just the right time, God "became flesh and dwelt among us." AT Just the right time, when we were sinful and powerless, Christ died. AT just the right time, of our need, we were given access to the throne of grace. AT just the right time, we will reap a harvest if we do not grow weary or give up. AT just the right time, Christ will return, calling His called to come home. God has always had perfect timing. May we be faithful with the time He gives us each day. Invest it so as to get from it the utmost in eternal value.
