I believe clarity in writing is important to covey the content in it. According to our class handbook clarity is making your ideas and point(s) visible to your audience. How the paper flows is also a part of clarity, if the audience gets confused about what is going on in your paper the problem might be it does not flow in the right order. Having a good flowing paper has a lot to do with how organized the paper is.
As I said earlier organization is the part of writing that I have the most trouble with. In the words of Jana Kom, Kris your stumbling block is organization of your writing, if you would an organizing method such as using note cards or an outline would help the organization of your papers. Being organized is the beginning of becoming a good writer according to the class handbook.
Along with being organized there is having your own voice of creativity, which no one but that person posses. “Kris, you have great ideas and you writing are creative but, you need to learn how to put these things together and get organized. Dr. Canada has told me while looking at my prewriting and non- formal conferences that I come up with good ideas. Having weak points in my writing revision is a key to making your better.
Revision is the best part of writing. Revision gives me a chance to eliminate any mistakes that I have in my paper. Different methods of revision that can be used, we discussed many of them in class. Methods such as, eliminating distraction and when proofreading read your paper backwards either line by line or word by word. I find the best revision technique for me is letting someone that’s not familiar with my writing revise it for me, because they will catch flaws that I normally wouldn’t. Using revision can be the turning point from bad paper to a good paper.
Looking at all the requirements from a being a good writer and
knowing how my writing compares in each category. The level of my writing
that I deserve the grade of B- and C+ range. The interaction of my creativity
and my good ideas, revision and a below average organization, I believe
that the grade I should earn.
