My name is Kelly Watson and I'm currently living with my husband, son, and 2 daughters in Kotzebue, AK. I'm the school librarian for the town's 2 schools and, obviously, one of my hobbies is reading! Before that, I was a staff development specialist for my current school district's technology department. I taught basic computing skills, technology integration, and a variety of other technology-type courses to the faculty and staff across the district. When not at work or doing school work, I enjoy spending time with my family - either 4-wheeling or riding "sno-go's" (snowmobiles to you guys in the Lower 48), or just hanging out watching movies and being silly together!
I'm currently pursuing a Master's degree in Curriculum & Instruction w/ an emphasis in Adult & Distance Learning. Hopefully, soon, I'll be working as an Instructional Design/Systems Specialist for the military or a government agency or a Distance Learning Coordinator at a public school - either here in Alaska, or Michigan or Texas (actually...I'm not really picky!!). As far as educational goals, I know I'll eventually go back and get a doctoral degree in either Educational or Instructional Technology. Who knows what'll happen after that!? |
