Royaloaks Kubla Khan

buff  berkshire

Born: 2nd December 2002 Health: excellent to date.
Litters: none
Awards: 1 x 1st, 2 x 2nd, 1 x 3rd Best Berkshire Rat class
Khan was returned to us due to temperament issues with a cage mate - both were only young, and Khan was renamed at 4 months (was Sparkle). I must say, that I have never tempted fate, and placed him with other rats, rather he lives in a cage in the living room right behind my armchair. From this vantage point, he sees practically the whole house.

To describe his temperament? Khan is a twit, a clown, a mummy's boy, a fool, an explorer, brazen, adventurous, lovable, cuddly, kissy - to people. He has never shown signs that he is the feral rat which had to be sent back. I will never integrate him with a colony, but until he leaves me, Khan will be *my* pal. The above photos were incredibly had to take - Khan insisted on jumping down off the chair, and exploring the living room. I let him do this at first, thinking he would get over it - but he didn't. We spent the next 15 minuted playing tag up and down the hall way.

If you haven't noticed by now, Khan is a bit of a favourite baby . . . Updated 19 Nov 2003
