My "new" car:

Buying a car here in the US is not a easy thing. I guess we all have heard the stories about used car dealers. Trying to avoid to be totally "screwed" I prepared myself using the Internet. I highly recommend Edmund.com where you will find information how to deal with the used car dealers and how they will behave. Strangely enough I think my dealer must have read this as well, since they tried all (nearly) the "tricks" that Edmuns warns you about. :) A big thanks  to Simo, a colleague of mine who helped me to stand my ground when "fighting" with the used car dealers. That is perhaps the most important tip, bring someone who knows the system and is tough enough to "fight" for you.
You will also find a lot of other information which is valuable for choosing which car you want to buy and how much you should pay for it.

It is just as important to find a car. I recommend AutoTrader.com . I was thinking about buying a Ford Mustang, but it seemed to unpractical for me. How do you get your skiies with you? I didn't find the answer, so I looked around for another sporty car, but a bit more practical. I also started to think about the quality of the car and not just the apperance. I am beginning to get older I guess ... To make a short story even shorter I decided on the Acura Integra GS-R.
Here are some of the articles that helped me decide:
1989-1998 Acura Integra
from the Used Car Book 1997 - 98 by Jack Gillis
1998 Acura Integra
from the Car Book 1998 by Jack Gillis
1998 Acura Integra GS-R
   from Road & Track Magazine
