Simplicity

AUTHOR: Amanda J Frechin.
DISCLAIMER: The usual. I don't own the characters from NYPD Blue, but I own Amanda (sound familiar?) Dez, and Kelli. I give away a lot of the plot in "The Green Mile..." and some of the quotes may be off.
FEEDBACK: To Amanda J Frechin
Diane slowly slipped the T-shirt off of his body, dragging it up along his torso and then past his head, until he was bare chested. Her breath caught in her throat; he had an incredible, well-toned, masculine physique. He was built without being horribly muscular, and his skin was tan, almost a golden brown. She hesitantly touched her fingertips to his nipple, and felt it respond. Harry's eyes flickered closed, and Diane's wanted to as well, but she fought the urge, curious about what the rest of him would look like.
She quietly took off her own red sweater, and her skin rose in goose bumps from the cooler air. Diane shivered and rubbed her arms, and she noticed Harry's eyes open and he reached for her, slowly, oh so slowly, and she came to him willingly, more sure that this coupling was meant to be than any other time, even with Bobby. What makes us so close? she mused, as he took her hands in his large ones and brought them to his lips, brushing his tongue across the knuckles. She shivered again.
Denby smiled at her mischievously.
"You know what Diane? I've been wanting to do this with you since that night in the bar."
She laughed throatily.
"You know what Denby? I haven't wanted to do this with you until very recently."
He faked a look of mock hurt that she was sure he was famous for in some twisted group of people, and she playfully jabbed his arm with her pointer finger.
"What can I say? You were an ass hole."
"Correction: a good looking, charismatic ass hole who you could barely keep your hands off."
She growled at him.
"Don't push your luck there sexy."
"And she calls me by my rightful name. I'm so relieved."
She crushed his self-assured grin with a hot kiss. He groaned, but it was somewhat muffled by her mouth on his. Swiping her tongue in and out, she mimicked what his body was going to do to hers in the near future. They broke apart for air, and during the duration of the kiss, Harry had managed to get aroused and sweaty. She ran a hand through his hair, and smiled into his eyes.
"You know what? I could get used to this."
"What? Used to what?"
"Being here like this with you."
"Oh, as opposed to being somewhere else with little blonde detective boy?"
"What is it with you and him?"
"The way he looks at you when you can't see. He wants to get you in the sack, Diane."
"Hmm."
Diane propped an arm up next to him and rested her head on it. Perhaps he was right. She had always felt like someone's eyes had been boring into her back when Danny was in the room. And now he was constantly flirting with her, something she had previously dismissed as a really close friendship. Harry had noticed Diane's glazed over, thoughtful look, and leaned forward to kiss her out of it.
"Diane," Harry asked between light kisses scattered on her neck.
She kissed him back, a sort of 'please continue'.
"Would you like me to make love to you tonight?"
