Lessons
You left me alone with Denby in the bar wearing only a small, wet towel. (How this happened is another story.) I'm only human, you all would have done the same.
The evening after the night before.
kathb walks into the bar with Denby. They both look happy but very tired. I reach the bar and order two scotches. I turn to Denby and kiss him tenderly, trying to memorise his essence.
"Go, mingle, and remember what I taught you. If you need any more lessons, you know where to find me. If not I'll see you in a month."
Denby looks at me with longing and uncertainty.
"Go." I whisper even though it's killing me. I turn my back on Denby and he walks into the waiting crowd at the bar.
'I can't wait for my Latin lessons.' I think to myself. As to Denby's lessons, that would be telling...
