| Someone once told me,you could overcome anything if you set your mind to it. To just smile and everything would be ok. For the longest time i was not sure if that would work. For when you smile your personality seems to shine through and your heart gets bigger and reaches out further than you could ever imagine. When you laugh, other laugh with you. The greatest feeling in the world that I have found in my short time here on earth is that loving and understanding are to of the most powerful forces you will come across. Most of us take the time that we have to spend with our family and friends for granted. Some think it's because we are all spoiled and take things with a grain of salt. I believe this to be true. In a couple of years I plan getting married and having this great job. I can't wait to see how i develop both mentally and physically. Just imagine all the things you could see and do in such a short period of time. The possibilities are endless. However, I know that along the way we are going to call on someone for help. Its human nature. Everyone needs someone they can talk to when times get tough, someone who will listen and not judge or criticize. Someone who understands what you are going through, and is willing to go through it with you. A best friend. Summer 1997, two young girls both wanting to broaden thier horizons attended at 4-H meeting that was being held in thier town. Both of them new member amd unsure what was expected and what may come from this. As the meeting went on they exchanged name, talked and went thier seperate ways. December 1997, these same two girls met once more at a local hospital where they both handing out gifts and singing Christmas carold to the patients. That night those two girls became friends. It wasnt until a year later in the fall of 1998, that these two young ladies who were mere aquaintances developed a friendship and were now best friends. As one was beginning her junior year the other starting a new adventure as a freshman, these two were in for the ride of thier lives. Each of them teaching the other new things about the mysterious world around them and yes, even boys. As the year went on one was nominated Vice President of the Art club and the other one Secretary. One became Vice President of S.A.S.A and the other one Treasurer. As the year went on, these two were unseperable. They were on the Speech and Debate team. Not only as competitors, but also as partners. Humorous Duet Acting the even that can take two obnoxious kids, give them a lame script and make it funny. That winter all of thier hard work finally paid off. They won first place at the Benton Speech tournament . This win, gave them a slot at the Scotty Tournament at Scott Air force Base later that year. Of course, not all friendships are perfect and thiers was no exception. As time went on little things started to get in-between them and thier friendship. For months they refused to speak to each other and gave up thier rountine for regionals. . |
