Sango
Sango, her brother, Kohaku, and their father, all lived in a village where they worked as youkai exterminators. It was the one thing that they knew how to do and they did it really well. However, the first night that Kohaku went along to fight youkai with Sango, his father, and other exterminators, something bad happened. They were summoned to a castle where Naruku was. Naruku used a spider looking youkai to control Kohaku and used him to kill their father and also the other exterminators. He almost killed Sango. Kohaku died when he was shot by arrows. Later, everyone in Sango�s village were killed by youkai controlled by Naruku. Sango was deeply saddened by this and when she attacked Inuyasha, she ended up joining their group instead. Naraku using her brother to steal Shikon shards made her really mad. Sango joined with Inuyasha and his friends to get revenge on Naruku.
Sango really love Kohaku, but hates seeing him being used by Naruku. However, the only thing keeping him alive is a Shikon shard in his back put there by Naraku. She is trying her best to get her real brother back and not the one that has no feelings made by Naruku. Kohaku is trying his best not to remember that terrible night though. Sango is a brave, kind, loving person. As the anime goes on, you will see her relationship with Miroku develop.
Sango uses a huge boomerang which she throws at her enemies. She uses it to slice the enemy, whether it's one big youkai or a bunch of them together, and to block attacks. She can also use a small sword very well.
