Rin
Rin doesn’t really appear much in the anime, but she accomplished something that no one had ever done before Sesshoumaru save a human. Sesshoumaru would say that Tenseiga made him do it, but the sword did not make him continue to care for her. Rin is a human female child who lost her parents to some sort of sickness. She hasn’t spoken since they died. In order to survive, she steals food and gets herself beat up by the local villagers. Though she tries to comfort Sesshoumaru in her silent way after he was attacked by Inuyasha. At first, Sesshoumaru does not accept her care-taking. After Rin is beaten up, Sesshoumaru asks her about her bruises and she smiles at him.
Rin is completely attached to Sesshoumaru. She does exactly what he says no matter what. She even makes fun of Jaken when he annoys Sesshoumaru in order to help out Sesshoumaru. She's otherwise a happy child and pretty likeable.
