| Hi Everyone! First of all, thank you for taking the time to visit our site. Due to problems with our server this website is still heavily under construction. We are the Students Against Animal Abuse. We are part of the Honors College at Florida International University in Miami, FL. Our mission is to bring awareness to the abuse that animals undergo, as well as to fundraise to support groups that rescue and raise abused animals. There are various organizations that dedicate themselves to rescuing and taking care of abused animals. However, they need your help! Rescuing and maintaining these animals costs a lot of money, which many of these organizations do not have. | What is abuse ? |
| Abuse is when a living being (both human and not human) is forced into servitude, entertainment, fighting, fur production, any many more other cirumstances. |
| -Be aware and informed. Know that animal abuse is going on right here and right now. -Donate to organizations that dedicate themselves to rescuing injured, abandoned, and abused animals. -Call your local animal services when you see any sign that might be animal abuse. -Become a vegetarian, or if you like meat (and who doesnt..) buy products from brands that are certified humane(check out the links section) |

| Apart from the obvious forms of physical abuse an animal can be subject to, this also includes: -Not providing medical attention when needed. -Leaving an animal for too long outdoors in severe weather. -Screaming constitutes as verbal abuse. -Not feeding an animal for all reasons, including "training." -Neglecting an animal and depriving it of nurturing. remember, animals feel just like we do |
