Kiyone-chan/Neko-sama's...
PROFILE!
Kiyone-chan. Neko-sama. What's the difference?
To understand all of the different names, you need a little knowledge of Japanese. "Chan" is a suffix added to the end of the name of someone younger than you, or in Kiyone's case, smaller than you. I think it's supposed to be some kind of endearing term. "Sama" is the suffix added to the end of the name of someone in a social or political position much higher than you, like the President, or a King. It basically means "Your Majesty". The real-life Kiyone, the one that runs rampant around my house, will be reffered to as Kiyone-chan. Under normal circumstances she wouldn't accept that demeaning title, but since I'm the only one that calls her that and I'm her momma, she puts up with it. The cyber-Kiyone, the one that runs rampant around the internet, will be refferred to as Neko-sama. Since you aren't her momma, you must treat her with the proper respect and call her by that name. And remeber, the cyber version of Kiyone reads minds!
So what do "Kiyone" and "neko" mean?
I got the name Kiyone from the anime Tenchi Muyo. (TV) Kiyone was the galaxy police officer with the ditzy partner who was always on the verge of a nervous breakdown. Kiyone isn't on the verge of a nervous breakdown, she's as content as a kitty can be, but the name was pretty, and I was either going to name her that or Lady Une. (from Gundam Wing) Kiyone's just too cute to be called Lady Une, so..... Yes, Kiyone is a Japanese name. No, I have no idea what it means. I'll get off my lazy human butt and look it up one day. Neko is much easier to define, however. It's the Japanese word for cat. PRONUNCIATIONS: Kiyone (kee-OH-neh) Neko (neh-koh) although I sometimes accidently say nee-ko. It sounds better that way.....

LIFE STORY
Kiyone's exact birth date and place is unknown. She was brought into the Washington Humane Society Shelter as a kitten and stayed there for about a year. She was first adopted by an old lady, who brought her back after a few weeks saying she was "too loveable." No comment here. Better for me that way. Later on she found a nice gullible looking girl and used her Neko Mind Trick to get this girl to adopt her. This girl was, of course, me. Being the gullible humanous stupidicus I am, I fell for the little furball and carted her home despite the family history of feline-related allergies. She has lived with me ever since. Her original name was Foxy, but I changed it to Kiyone. (with the help of my long list of anime pet names) She also responds to Neko-sama, Devil Kitty, Destructo-kitty, Master, Miss K, Furball, Fuzzball, Fuzzmuffin, Meow Mix, and Cat. She is a Japanese cat, a neko. She responds to Japanese better than English, enjoys sleeping through my varoius animes, and prefers it when I draw her anime style rather than realistically.
