Marsh Wren

The Marsh Wren has a noisy, disorganized and variable song that is recognized by its liquid sound.  Their calls are a little harsh but well harmonized, and pretty in the wetland environment.  The male birds makes more than a one nest to offer to a female; this confuses predators and prevents them from finding the eggs or nestlings.  A singing male can often be seen straddling two reed stems.
