Vivi Ornitier
Ah! Vivi. If you remember from the past couple of games, pretty much all black mages looked like this. Of course, those Black mages didn't really have any angsty past to them. Another thing to note, is that if you put Vivi's name all in caps, it would be roman numerals that stand for 66 (you'll get it later in the game).
A lot happens to poor Vivi. He finds out he's been created, from mist none the less, ugh. Poor Vivi. it would seem nearly every one on Gaia knows about the black mages, but, there's something different about this one that nobody notices but our main characters and the other black mages. I'm not going to spoil it for you this time. PLAY THE GAME!
Vivi, like I said, is a black mage. the only black mage in your entire party. So, make good use of him. Obviously, being a mage, he realies more on magic, which is good! Especially after you get the spell
Osmose. The staves' purpose is mainly there to teach Vivi new spells, because they don't really ever get really high attack stats. So, leave Vivi in the back row. Focus is another nice little thing for fights when you don't want to attack immediatly, but want to do something useful. For example, when you're tring to steal some stuff from a boss, or what ever, Vivi should just use focus, that way, You steal the stuff you need to, then you can easily blast the enemy away with an extra powerful spell, like Flare.
