    How to reject donation?

Donation is a very personal thing, and most of the time, when people do not want to donate, the reason is just simple that they are not ready for it, and some will feel that the money will be better spent on themselves. But when such reasons are given out, to people who preach donation, it will only turn into one word "Selfish", and that will make them look bad.

When someone reject donation by saying "I am selfish", or "I need to care for myself first", you need to understand that they are being truthful to you, and they wished to be disturbed no further.

For some people, they will try to find excuses that will make them look/feel good and make you look/feel bad. These people will start to question the final destination of the money that you donated, or the credibility of the organizations involved. And in the end, these people might just have influenced a possible donor to not donate.

So, there goes another way for you to judge your friends... :)

    Pirated VCDs and Karma

Crimes are on the rise in Malaysia, some people don't understand why the world is such a sad place to live in, some people are furious, some people are disappointed. Nobody seems to be thinking and relating.

Do you believe in Karma? If you do, do you believe that when a person becomes a victim to a crime, its his/her karma? Some people always claimed that they have been a good person, but yet became a victim to such crimes.

Buying pirated VCDs, almost everyone bought Pirated VCDs before in Malaysia, if you have done so, have you realized that you have committed a crime, and that it will be bad for your karma? Of course pirated VCDs are just the smallest of the crimes that you can commit nowadays. Businessmen, its blurred in their mind what's right and what's wrong. They always give the excuse, that "if you don't do it, other will, so why not put the money in your pocket instead of others?", and I am sick of listening to that.

If you see a 50 dollar note on the floor, would you pick it up and put in your pocket? I won't! Why, because its bad for my karma. You could argue that if you don't pick it up, someone else will, well, that's none of my business.

Somehow, I see buying pirated VCDs a bigger crime than those snatch thief cases. Why? Simple because you commit a crime for luxury, while most of the snatch thieves commit a crime for survival. You could still live your life without pirated VCDs, what you need to do is just to watch less movies and support the originals.

So, every time when you found yourself giving the excuse "If I don't do it, others will", think again.
