My most treasured gift is a book that my father wrote about our family.He began writing the book after my mother died and finished it about a year ago.
He had it printed and bound and included pictures of his family, my mother's family and our family. The story is of his life, meeting and marrying my mom, building his business, having us kids, my mother's death and his remarriage.
Reading that book can make me laugh or cry...depending on my mood....but it always makes me thankful to have been raised in a strong, loving and devoted family.
Hokey, I know....but I swear...if my house caught fire...I'd grab the book first..then I'd come back for my computer.....:) Daphene
