When I started online I needed a lot of help. The people who helped me seemed to be able to solve any problem. When I learned
enough to be able to help with the easy questions, I went to work in chat help rooms, snagging the easy questions before the techies could. I wanted a name that made me seem as resourceful as the people who had helped me when I started.

McGyver the TVcharacter is the ultimate in resourcefulness. I adopted the name so people would think I was resourceful, so they would have confidence that I would be able to help with their online problems. I also use Mule sometimes. That's a joke about being drug along shopping with my wife who needs me only to carry stuff.          McGyver
