This here is Clark's Camp.  Every summer my Mother, Grandmother and Great Aunt make a day trip or several day trips to the Camp to visit relatives and to go swimming in the lake.  My Mother and Grandmother love to swim.  They generally spend two or three hours in the water and never put their feet down!  The bottom of the lake is quite course.  It is filled with sharp clam shells, which can cut deep into the tissue of your feet, and many small  but rough rocks.  As you might be able to tell from these pictures, even the beaches are not very sandy but rather rocky and hard on the feet.  Swimming is about all you can do to enjoy yourself here.  I guess it's a good thing we love to swim =)
This is another favourite swimming hole.  It's called Damascus and when I was about 7 or 8 my neighbour use to bring me and her girls out to this place to swim.  The water is quite shallow now that I'm so much older and I don't frequent this place for swimming any longer but when I was only 3 feet (1 meter) in height it was the most perfect place to swim.  Behind us there is a covered bridge that crosses over the river and directly under the bridge is where the water is its deepest.  There are also boulders under the bridge.  Many of them are just submerged under the water and so no one can dive from the bridge.  However, the boulders themselves are perfect platforms for diving from!
SUMMER: (June - August)
People have been coming from all over the world for more than twenty years to take this very picture . . . or at least one like it =)  I imagine if you had a thousand dollar camera and some photography skills this would be a fantastic view.  However, all I had was a 20 dollar disposable camera and no skills to speak of!  When you come to my place you'll have to drive by this spot.  It's much prettier in person I can tell you that =)
There's More . . .
