Uncle Jack is what I knew him as, also known to many as "Little Jackie". He left New Zealand for the last time in 1976, taking his family to Scotland. I was never to see him again. I am so proud to have made contact with his son, my cousin, after such a long time.
I remember Uncle Jack so clearly, He had a house in Havelock North, I spent an entire Christmas there when my mother was in Hospital, he use to visit us alot.
Uncle Jack was a caterer, and made such lovely cakes, I had always wanted him to make my Wedding Cake.
He travelled the world a few times, done alot of differant catering jobs. I do wish I had seen him again before he passed, but his son carrys on his legacy. RIP Uncle Jack |
