This page is dedicated to a very
special friend of mine.
Lisa
Lisa and I have
been friends for around 6 or 7 years. We met while I still living in
Christchurch, and she was living in Timaru (about a hour and half drive
south of Christchurch). We first came together because we shared the
same interest, but we quickly discovered that we had more in common that
just that one thing.
Over the years
Lisa has stood by me as I've been through my ups and downs. She was
my Matron of Honour at my wedding, and although now thousands of miles
separate us, our friendship still stands.
Lisa has a
wonderful (and sometimes wicked) sense of humour and and is always ready
to listen to me vent when I have to and takes everything in her
stride. I always feel better after having talked to her, either
through email or on the phone. She has inspired me in more ways than
she will ever know.
Here is a gift
that Lisa gave me in honour of our friendship. It means a lot to me
for more than one reason. It contains some of the lyrics of my
favourite song by my favourite band, 'One' by U2. I truly believe in
what these lyrics say, 'we get to carry each other'. Also, I love
this gift because it was given to me by my friend.
