| Rotorua |
| "Sulphur City" may just be the most touristy town on the north island. We visited a Maori village, canlled Te Whakarewarewa, where we took a tour that gave of a good introduction to Maori culture and history. We saw incredible thermal lakes that can be used as baths, food cooking in the warm ground ovens, and a concert in the town's beautiful meeting house. |
