| Tools and Setup The altar motif is red and the circle is decorated with autumnal flowers, acorns, apples. The incense is sandalwood or juniper. On the altar is a bowl of seasonal fruits. The temple is erected. |
| Ritual Now is the time for celebration the beauty of summer is over and winter draws near The Bell is rung three times, dance deosil around the circle as you wish Let no time be more equal As night and day rival each other It is time to enjoy the fruits of our harvest We celebrate with our hearts giving thanks for our rewards Here in the balance, time still does not stand still Our wheel turns forever and the Sun will rise and set As the sun does rise, so dotes Death visit He is inevitable so we greet him as a friend It is he who opens the door that leads life unto life Life to death, death to life Balance and harmony ever moving Taking a peice of fruit and say: I give thanks to the Gods for this, a sign of a succesful harvest and a good year The bell is rung seven times and the fruit is eaten. Time is taken to sit and talk. We all have eaten the bell is rung three times and stand Harvest season draws to a close but we know the Gods are forever with us Our Lord watches over us and will provide during the harshnest of Winter To the beauty of Autumn and friends, we give thanks to our Lord and Lady And now we farewell the sun We prepare for the winter We think of the least fortunate And we ask for protection We offer this so it may go where it is needed A piece of fruit is placed into a small whole on the ground of libation dish May the Lord and Lady bless us, our loved ones, the givers and those who will recieve So Mote It Be The bell is rung three times ritual is followed by Cakes and Ale and the Temple is Cleared |
