Method to create a Google Interactive Map.

The files in this archive allow a user to make their own online maps,
that have two independant "offset lines" and can give the "distance"
from the central path.

There is only one file you need to modify (once only).

A "Google Key" is required (free) from Google, to enable
your maps to request map data from Google.

Go to: http://www.google.com/apis/maps/signup.html

the KEY will be valid for a "directory" on your website.

The "key" code then needs to be inserted into:

GoogleMap_FileHeader.txt

(there is text in the file that explains where to edit).

To speed up your final web-page, you may want to place the file:

GoogleMap_ServerDriver.js

(which is in this archive) also on your website - rather than get it each
time from New Zealand. Your website address for this file can be edited in:

GoogleMap_FileHeader.txt

Having edited the above file "once" - you can then make maps quickly with the
attached "batch file" called:

make_goo.bat

This batch file needs to be in the same directory as SHADOW. The batch file
calls SHADOW (assuming you have already placed PATH.TXT in the same directory).
It then wraps the "header" and "footer" text around the list of coordinates
(TRACK.GOO) to create a file called:

GoogleMap.htm

which you may want to rename for your website - if you wish to have more than
one map page at a time.

Derek Breit (CA USA) has kindly offered to help anyone who has trouble
getting their page to work. Derek has lots of experience with these maps.
Please only contact Derek if you really get stuck - he is very busy.

Contact Derek, at breit_ideas@hotmail.com for assistance.

Derek can help with the attached file format, please use other Internet
resources if you want to customise the page with your own HTML text.

NOTE:

Once you have customised the header file:

GoogleMap_FileHeader.txt

it will then be ready for the impending release of WinOccult 4.0, which will
use the same (header and footer) filenames, to create Interactive maps.
