BANGKOK DEEP-SKY OBJECTS OBSERVING
How to make Field Of View (FOV) circle:
1) compare stars in finder scope with sky atlas to get the estimated field of view as samples below
2) draw a circle on transparent sheet with blue or green permanent pen. The FOV circle that a little smaller than actual one is better in order to ensure overlap of each hopping FOV to protect lost in space.
3) repeat 1) & 2) for eyepieces, use to ensure the target is in FOV of eyepieces.
Caster & Pollux and Rho geminorum in Gemini are quite fit within 6 degree FOV
The Orion belt & sword fit into 6 degree FOV
One leg of W-shape of Cassipeia from Schedar to Gamma cassiopeiae is about 5 degree FOV
The parallelogram of Lyra fit to 6 degree FOV
