M6 or butterfly cluster, The open cluster which stars look like butterfly quite symmetrical in East - West direction. very nice at power 40x. starting hopping from scorpion tail stars 34 & 35 hop to star G and hop to M7 which easily seen in finder scope. locate M7 at bottom of FOV ,a 5 magnitude star will appear at top of FOV. M6 locates at the top of imaginary right triangle. also M6 can be seen in finder scope. locate M6 at center of finder scope..let enjoy deep space butterfly! :) Home
