Start hopping from Bright star 'Capella' hop to stars 7, 10 & 8. Then hop to stars 15, 11 & 21; star15-->21-->points to M38. It is easiest M-object in Auriga. M38 appeared as dense cluster, couldn't locate the location of many faint stars due to not constant seeing & highly sky glow. The bright stars form as the cross ( + )
