Start from the tea-pot's handle: stars 34,27,38 & 40 (quite fit in FOV of finder scope) stars 40-->27--> points to star 22 "the lid of tea pot" or "Kaus Borealis". From star 22 hop to M28, just one degree in north-west direction. M28 appeared as round, small, faint smudge of light, slightly brighter nucleus the image sharpness not constant depend on seeing condition.
