WHISPERED IN  THE DARK
Whispered in the dark,
I love you's mean nothing.
Just words spoken
When the senses are lost
In the deep abyss.
We can both see the light,
But we know not what it is.
The brightness disturbs,
It perplexes the night,
Who in turn swallows it,
A star in the void,
The reality in our fantasies.
Whispered in the dark,
I love you's mean nothing.

TELL ME
I don't know how you feel,
Wish you'd stop hiding
And confess how you feel,
Come on, no fighting.
I won't laugh, I won't frown,
But I sure may cry
If I find that your feelings
Are the same as mine.
You can't know how long
I've been thinking 'bout this,
But my love has been thrown,
Has been scattered amiss.
Only you have withstood
The duration of time,
But your head can't be straight;
It's the same with mine.
Maybe when it's fixed
I will come to you,
And express that how I feel
Is a feeling that's true.
DON'T BE SAD
Whispers eat inside me,
They told my heart no.
We are the cloud above the ocen,
Crying together eternally,
Silent and blue.
Night is growing my butterfly baby,
Don't be sad.
LOVE'S A LONELY THING
My mind tells me how sweet we would be,
But is afraid we may be too sweet.
My eyes show me we are perfect for each other,
But also that perfection results in disaster.
My ears tell me the encouragements I hear,
Yet I hear myself denying these sweet words.
My soul finds us intertwined,
So much that we become a tangled mess.
My body feels we were made for each other,
But that we are two pieces that don't fit.
My mouth plays over every word we share,
So much that it becomes routine.
My fingers have traced every line of his face,
And now I find it is dull.
My feet carry me to his side,
But they stumble and I find myself alone.
My heart shows me this is love,
And how lonely love can be.
GOODBYE
I promise that every day of my life I will remember that night. I know it will be in my heart always, just as you will be. But only in my heart and mind. It seemed we would be together always, but now you are leaving. Promises of your return break my heart, but I know you will never be back. I can't imagine being with someone else, having another hold me in his arms, being together in silence, hands lingering after we are both long gone. I know that someday, maybe soon, I will sit and be dreaming of another face, a foreign face, but it seems like a lifetime away. Those three forbidden words torture me, they scream out in my head, but I can't believe them. Goodbye, all I can say is I would have loved you.
UNTITLED
In the dark I see the sun
Swinging on the stars.
The Little Dipper's pouring out
My teardrops onto Mars.
The sun falls down
And comes up again,
I don't even know
Where I have been,
Because I have found
The beauty in me
And this is not
Where I should be.
All I did
Was close my eyes.
That's all I had to do
To realize
That when I am ready
I stand up and fly.
But why should I leave
When it just makes me cry?
The truth is
I love my life,
But I'm loking forward
To the day I die.

UNTITLED
Cut you into little stars
And string you in the sky,
So I can gaze into your eyes all night,
And in the morning
I will know you're watching over me.
FRIDAY'S MOON
So illuminating, if you were to cut it up into little stars and string them through the sky, there would be a thousand suns smiling down on us from the heavens.
