The idea to create cat furniture was formed by a woman who loves cats, and because her husband could not have just one. The cats needed places to romp, claw, climb, and exercise. She did not care for the expensive furniture sold in the stores, and also needed an outlet for her creative abilities. She introduced the concept of constructing fully-carpeted cat furniture to me early in October 2003 with the thought of selling to others who were wanting unique, sturdy, quality-made furniture for their feline companions.

I immediately agreed. Supplies were soon purchased and our own old and well-used handcrafted scratching posts were recovered which initiated us into our new project.

We thought we were going to order plans, but she had ideas and I also began to be inspired and drew up several different designs. We never purchased any plans, we simply kept creating our own.  We surveyed, studied, specified, sized, sawed, screwed, and, stapled as the ideas kept flowing and changing.

Our web site is for the convenience of local people in central Illinois, U.S.A. who want to make a purchase and appreciate a quick way to view our handiwork. We are not striving to build a large business, but to enjoy designing and creating a fun and comfortable personal area for beloved and loving felines. This is a place to display and share our cat furniture, our cats, and some fun photos.
